    About Us:

    Black Sheep Beaufort is a casual, open-kitchen restaurant serving wood-fired pizza, scratch-made sandwiches, fresh salads, and gourmet small plates. We're known for our creative specials, laid-back atmosphere, and high standards for both food and service. We’re currently seeking Line Cooks who are reliable, enthusiastic, and ready to work in a fast-paced, professional environment where your creativity and skills are valued.

    Position Overview:

    As a Line Cook at Black Sheep, you’ll prep ingredients, set up your station, and work service shifts to ensure every dish meets our scratch-made standards. We rotate specials regularly and offer hands-on learning opportunities with everything from charcuterie and fresh pasta to pizza and sauces made in-house. This is a dynamic role that allows cooks at all levels to grow, collaborate, and take pride in their work.

    Responsibilities:

    Set up and stock stations with necessary prep and supplies

    Execute recipes accurately and efficiently

    Cook and plate dishes during service to spec and on time

    Assist with daily prep including proteins, sauces, salads, and more

    Clean and maintain workstations throughout the shift

    Support daily kitchen tasks assigned by the chef or team lead

    Maintain a safe, sanitary, and organized work environment

    Communicate effectively with team members and front-of-house staff

    Participate in creating and testing specials, new dishes, or weekend features

    What We’re Looking For:

    Previous kitchen experience preferred, but we’re also happy to train passionate learners

    Strong knife skills and multitasking ability—or the willingness to build them

    Familiarity with food safety and sanitation standards

    Able to work quickly, efficiently, and with consistency under pressure

    Positive attitude, punctuality, and professionalism are a must

    Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods

    Open availability Wednesday through Sunday (lunch and dinner shifts)
