We are looking for someone with a passion for food and strong time management abilities who can provide clients with an exceptional dining experience. Our restaurant is busy, and we need a competent and experienced line cook who can ensure that our meals are made precisely to guest orders while still following our standard recipes consistently. A key part of this role will be as our plancha cook. You'll be responsible for expertly managing our plancha station, ensuring perfect temperatures and precise cooking times for a variety of dishes. Experience with high-volume plancha cooking and a keen eye for detail are essential. You need to be a team player who can effectively communicate with other kitchen staff to keep things running efficiently. Responsibilities: • Ensure that all interactions with visitors, vendors and colleagues are conducted in a professional and friendly manner • Maintain work stations, including all countertops, utensils, equipment, and refrigeration in a clean and sanitary condition per health and safety regulations • Prepare food orders on the line by cooking items to order, grilling, broiling, sauteing and meet all presentation guidelines and follow standard recipes • Guarantee that quality food is supplied, by adhering to specified storage and waste control requirements for meats, vegetables, fruits, and dairy products • Establish a system of food stations and stock them with all of the necessary ingredients for the shift Qualifications: • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with customers and other team members • Prior food service industry experience is highly desired • Must be able to meet all safety and sanitation requirements of kitchen equipment and food storage • Educational requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent GED certificate • Must be a hard worker with high attention to detail and have a strong work ethic Compensation: $18 - $20 hourly
