Grill Cook – Fast-Paced Artisan Bagel Shop

Water Street Bagel Co. is looking for a strong, reliable Grill Cook to join our team. We are a high-volume, wood-fired artisan bagel shop known for quality, speed, and consistency. This is not a “stand around and flip eggs” job. This is a fast-paced position where precision, urgency, and teamwork matter. What You’ll Be Doing:

Running the grill station during busy breakfast and lunch service

Cooking eggs, meats, and hot sandwiches with speed and consistency

Managing multiple tickets at once without sacrificing quality

Communicating clearly with expo and the hot line

Keeping your station clean, stocked, and organized at all times

Supporting the team wherever needed during rushes

What We’re Looking For

Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

Strong sense of urgency

Reliable and on time-always

Quick learner who takes feedback well

Team player with a positive attitude

Comfortable working weekends and early mornings- this is required.

Previous line or grill experience required

What This Is NOT:

Not a slow diner job

Not a position for someone who needs constant direction

Not for someone who can’t handle pressure

We run a tight ship and hold high standards. Our team depends on each other.

Schedule:

Early mornings required (6:30 AM start 3 PM -ish finish)

We are always closed Mondays- but weekday and weekend availability required
