Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our dishes are prepared to the highest standards, contributing to the overall success of our kitchen and dining experience.

Duties

• Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
• Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, slicing, and marinating.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
• Follow food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures at all times.
• Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.
• Participate in menu planning and development as needed.
• Support the Dietary department by preparing meals that meet dietary restrictions and preferences.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Line Cook or in a similar role within the food industry.
• Strong knife skills and proficiency in various cooking techniques.
• Knowledge of food preparation methods, safety standards, and sanitation practices.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• A passion for culinary arts and willingness to learn new techniques or cuisines.
• Previous experience in catering or as a dietary aide is a plus.
