Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including food handling stations and storage
Follow food safety protocols diligently to ensure compliance with health regulations
Support catering and special event meal preparations as needed
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service and efficient workflow
Handle food with care, utilizing proper knife skills and cooking techniques to optimize flavor and presentation
Skills
Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and food service within a restaurant or culinary setting
Strong knowledge of food handling safety standards and sanitation practices
Experience with menu planning, meal preparation, and catering operations
Demonstrated proficiency in knife skills and cooking techniques for diverse cuisines
Background in dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus
Fine dining experience is highly desirable for maintaining elevated standards of presentation
Excellent teamwork, communication, and organizational skills to thrive in a fast-paced environment
