About the Role:
Join the vibrant culinary team at Oakland Yacht Club as a Line Cook! We are looking for passionate individuals who thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment and are eager to create memorable dining experiences for our members and guests.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and quality standards.
Maintain a clean and organized workstation to ensure food safety and sanitation.
Assist in the development of new menu items and seasonal specials.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during busy periods.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
Adhere to all health and safety regulations in the kitchen.
Participate in training and mentoring new kitchen staff.
Work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
Requirements:
Previous experience as a line cook or in a similar kitchen role.
Knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, and equipment.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
Food Handler's Certification or equivalent is preferred.
Passion for culinary arts and commitment to quality food preparation.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Ability to lift heavy items and stand for long periods.
