Job Summary The Social is looking for a dependable Line Cook to join our kitchen team for approximately 30–36 hours per week. We are a busy neighborhood bar and restaurant with a close-knit, low-turnover team, and we're looking for someone who can keep up in a fast-paced kitchen while still being a good teammate.

You'll be responsible for preparing and cooking menu items consistently, keeping your station clean and stocked, and working alongside the rest of the kitchen and front-of-house staff to keep service running smoothly. Previous kitchen experience is preferred, but we value reliability, a good attitude, communication, and willingness to learn just as much.

If you're looking for steady hours, a flexible schedule, and a kitchen where you can become part of the team instead of feeling like just another employee, we'd love to hear from you.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

Set up the kitchen with necessary tools and equipment

Prepare food and present it in an appealing manner

Maintain appropriate levels of prepped items and prep as needed

    Follow all food safety regulations

Participate in daily kitchen opening and closing procedures

Perform other duties as assigned by management

    Communicate with other staff respectfully

    Qualifications:

Previous experience in a similar role is preferred

ServeSafe or Food Handler’s Certification (desired but not required)

Ability to remain calm and thrive under pressure

    Excellent time management skills

Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including standing for long periods and lifting up to 40 pounds
