    HOME OF HISTORY-MAKING HOSPITALITY Wynkoop is Colorado’s first brewpub and home to Denver tastemakers, rulebreakers, and envelope pushers since 1988. Over more than three decades, the LoDo neighborhood has transformed, Colorado’s craft beer industry has exploded, and Wynkoop is still here serving cold beer to warm friends.

    Today, Wynkoop remains a Denver institution, known for its innovative, ballsy brewers who put just about anything in their beer, including Rocky Mountain oysters, gummy bears and green chiles. It’s known as the brewery that brewed a neighborhood because—without exaggeration—Wynkoop helped catalyze the revitalization of LoDo. Our neighborhood is the heartbeat of the city, surrounded by iconic landmarks like Coors Field, Larimer Square, and Union Station. We like to think it all began with beer.

    Comfort, fun, and hospitality are the foundation of everything we do and brew at Wynkoop–from our beer inspired menu to our one-of-a-kind events. We don’t take ourselves too seriously except when it comes to delivering history-making hospitality. So, if you’re into that sort of thing, you’ve come to the right place.

    We are now hiring a few experienced Line Cooks to join our amazing team!

    Our Line Cooks prepare food to the exact chef’s specifications and play a key role in contributing to exceeding our guests’ expectations.

    Responsibilities

    Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies

    Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)

    Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff

    Answer, report and follow executive or sous chef’s instructions

    Clean up station and take care of leftover food

    Stock inventory appropriately

    Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion

    Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards

    Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

    Share a passion for creating craveable craft food

    Train and teaching other employees

    Complete side work as directed by the supervisor

    Other duties as assigned by management

    Skills

    Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook

    Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures

    Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks

    Familiar with industry’s best practices

    Ability to follow instructions and help with various tasks, as needed

    Attention to detail and sanitization rules

    Able to stay on your feet for an extended period of time and lift up to 25 lbs unassisted

    Ability to multitask and remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment

    Time management skills
