     We are seeking an accomplished professional to lead the product pricing process and resulting commercialization aspects. As the Business Partner for the Sales Team, you will work across multiple levels of the organization and functional areas to optimize the effects of the price strategy and support business priorities. The role guides pricing proposals through a governance process, from Pricing Committee approval through to implementation. You will lead the development and refinement of business tools which frame monetization product pricing summaries as well as provide supporting details for decision making, implementation and post audit.

     In this role, as the Business Partner for the Sales Team, you will work in collaboration with other teams to identify and build relevant financial pro-forma and commercialization models, lead the financial launch and post reviews. This role requires a thorough understanding of our current and target customers, strategy, and internal cost structure as well as industry and competitive dynamics. Act as an advocate for the Sales team utilizing fact based information.

    • Establish, implement, and manage pricing processes, procedures, and protocols that ensure the effective handoff of pre-commercialization costing, management of ongoing contract pricing analysis, coordination of formulation changes and affected pricing, and tracking of contract terms and conditions.
    • As a business partner to Sales, assist with development of pricing strategies and tactics for optimal pricing.
    • Develop actionable analytics and reporting capabilities based on understanding the Sales team needs, organization objectives, sales strategy, operational information and system capabilities.
    • Act as a center of excellence with thought leadership to monitor and analyze launch and post-commercialization pricing activity against contract terms to ensure pricing accuracy and compliance; work with Sales team, plants and customer to adjust pricing as required or permitted under contract.
    • Perform deep dive reviews analyzing ongoing operational financials to determine profitability by product line and/or customer highlighting key drivers and/or abnormalities while resolving problems effectively through identification of root causes. Identify pricing deviations from expected results.
    • Play a significant role with sales team’s contract process by recommending terms and conditions that ensure profitability throughout contract life related to potential changes to underlying cost assumptions.
    • Lead projects to analyze and understand competitive market for use in establishing pricing recommendations that best position the organization to maximize profitability while achieving volume targets.
    • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the financial stability of the company’s major customers and the overall financial climate of the company’s market. Develop and implement financial statistical measures to evaluate the existing and future financial situation and make timely recommendations for major industry changes.
    • Define and evaluate key business metrics to track pricing and production performance that enable continuous improvements and informs business decisions. Build a rigorous validation process to ensure that pricing execution matches intent and implement a robust performance monitoring framework.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

               

    Required Skills

    • Ten (10) or more years working with sales team and pricing in the manufacturing industry
    • Thorough knowledge of general accounting practices and general accepted accounting principles.
    • Advanced Excel and the MS suite of products is required, including experience with Pivot Tables.
    • Familiar with SAP or similar ERP systems and capabilities as applied to financial reporting, pricing, and costing
    • Key problem solver. A data-led decision-maker. Expert at distilling complex, analytically dense information into clear insights and decisions. Skilled in finding new ways to improve strategies and processes.
    • Effective communication skills to present ideas and solutions working across multiple levels of the organization to keep others informed of pertinent information up, down and laterally.
    • Ability to change style or approach in response to new information, changing conditions or obstacles.
    • Exhibit in words and actions personal leadership competencies such as organizing to win, driving alignment, problem solving, conflict resolution skills, consulting skills, operational management skills and analytical skills.
    • Ability to operate independently and part of a developed, structured team while handling multiple projects.
    • Exhibits professional maturity including ethical, honest, and trustworthy discipline with confidential data.

    • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field of study
    • CPA or MBA preferred
    • Work is generally performed within a business professional office environment, with standard office equipment available.
    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, bend, walk, use hands or finger, talk, see, hear, feel objects, tools, or controls; may be required to lift up to 15 pounds. Vision abilities include close vision to a computer screen.
