Summary of Position
Transport linen carts with clean laundry from laundry room to storage rooms on each floor of property. Replenish linens in the linen rooms based on the amount of linens needed for each floor as noted on the linen distribution form. Return cart to designated area at the end of shift. Clean and organize items stored in laundry room, supply/storage closets, linen room, and/or uniform room. Identify and report preventative or other maintenance issues in public areas or guest rooms. Ensures guests are spoken to using the 15-5 rule and project a first class image in all interactions and behavior
Duties & Responsibilities
Adhere to scheduled work hours. Is punctual in reporting and gives ample notice to supervisor or manager if he/she cannot meet scheduled requirements.
Ensures that an ample supply of linen is stocked in the housekeeping storerooms on each floor, so that the rooms’ housekeepers are able to perform their jobs without delay.
Ensures supplies in the laundry and HSK office are filled up for the housekeepers to take
Removes all dirty linen from guest rooms and places it in the laundry chute for proper handling.
Removes all trash from guest rooms, brings it to the dumpster and sorts out and handles recycling
Perform all cleaning duties in the guest towers, in accordance with Marriott standards.
Vacuum guest hallways
Cleaning vending areas and remove trash
Clean the inside ledges of all tower windows
Dust base and clean boards and door moldings
Sweeps and mops emergency stairwells
Demonstrates a working knowledge of hotel safety and security procedures as required, in order to maintain a secure and safe environment for employees and guests.
Keep immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance which require corrective action.
Conduct and/or attend meetings as required.
Perform all accountabilities in a professional, timely and efficient manner, following established company policy and projecting a favorable image to achieve objectives, public recognition, and acceptance as the preferred hotel company.
Any other assignments assigned by Executive Housekeeper, Supervisor or Inspector
Essential Functions
Prolonged periods of standing and/or walking.
Ability to visually check work, work area, and hotel space.
Minimum lifting of 30 pounds.
Constant standing and walking throughout shift
Frequent lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs
Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
Occasional ascending or descending of stairs and ramps
Other Requirements
Knowledge of English and local language enough to engage guests in conversation
Ability to deal with the public in a professional and courteous manner
Ability to communicate with all managers, supervisors and fellow associates
Ability to handle conflict situations in a professional manner
Be well groomed and conform to the hotel’s dress code
