STAFF ACCOUNTANT
The staff accountant will perform accounting and clerical functions for both AP/AR, process daily rework transactions in SAP, enter vendor bills, participate in month end, bank reconciliations, special projects, reporting and analysis as needed. Sales Tax experience is a huge plus.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform accounting and clerical functions to support AP.
- Perform accounting and clerical functions to support AR.
- Process daily rework transactions in SAP.
- Assist with month end, bank reconciliation, special projects, reporting and analysis as needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by accounting team members.
- Enter vendor bills
- Upload invoices and approval backups into Docuware
- Upload freight bills into BI database and Docuware
- Prepare and process weekly checks
- Prepare and send Positive Pay reports to bank
- Open, sort and scan incoming invoices via post office mail
- Upload bills into SAP
- Prepare ongoing bank deposits
- Answer vendor inquiries
- Monitor and record/reconcile FSA bank account
- Process customer returns (only a few customers)
- Enter all the remittance information such as check copies and remittance spreadsheets into Docuware
REQUIREMENTS, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE:
2 year Associates degree in accounting or Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance preferred, or a combination of education and relevant work experience preferred
A minimum of 2 – 3 years of accounting experience, Intermediate level in Microsoft Excel is preferred
