    Sr. Project Manager - NPD

    We are looking for a Sr. Project Manager – New Product Development (NPD) to join our client's team. Their Monroe facility houses the firm's Global and North American corporate offices as well as one of our most dynamic manufacturing facilities. 
     
    The position will be responsible for the initiation, planning, monitoring and closure of large product development projects (new product platforms and major platform re-design projects) in line with Product Development processes. The role will lead a cross-functional team of resources (Strategic Marketing, Engineering, Operations, etc.) for execution on-time and budget to meet or exceed project requirements.  The Sr. Project Manager-NPD will be expected to leverage their project management expertise to drive both superior execution but also contribute to strategy development around enhancing capabilities.
     
    This position reports to the Director of Project Management & Customer Experience.
     
         Key Responsibilities:

    • Serve as primary executive management-interface for assigned projects
    • Develop & execute project schedules of varying complexity based on commercial needs & proposed technical solution
    • Serve as steward and champion of NPD tollgate process; lead business opportunity/impact assessments to ensure the best projects advance to drive growth strategy
    • Drive all cross-functional activities & collaborate with functional leadership on all aspects of execution
    • Successfully identify & mitigate schedule, cost, & technical risks
    • Partner with leadership team to develop project management capabilities enhancement strategy & drive execution

     
     
         Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

    • 4-year Technical degree required, Masters in Engineering or Business preferred
    • PMP certification (or equivalent industry-standard certification) preferred
    • Minimum of 5+ Years leading cross-functional teams on complex design & production projects in engineered-to-order environments
    • Knowledge of rotating equipment in oil & gas industry preferred
    • Experience managing project teams with engineering & production located across multiple global sites
    • Exceptional cross-functional accountability with proven track record as a change agent
    • Demonstrate abilities to perform in a metric driven environment
    • Experience with lean principles or business-system culture
    • Must be a strong influencer, driven solely by data and facts
    • A good understanding of ERP systems (preferably IFS & SAP)
    • Multi-lingual preferred (German, Dutch, Spanish, and/or Mandarin)
    • Must have a valid passport; travel both international and domestic, up to 30%
