    Our client, a premied financial institution, is seeking an Azure Cloud Services Support Specialist, to join their growing IT team.

    The Azure Cloud Services Support Specialist works directly with managers, architects, engineers, developers, and internal customers – providing hands-on technical cloud solutions. The position requires hands-on technical design and implementation of infrastructure solutions in Microsoft Azure cloud environment. The role will also work to ensure the engineered solutions in Microsoft Azure are compatible and consistent with other public, private, or hybrid cloud solutions (where possible) and consistent with customer architecture requirements. This position will bring real-world Microsoft Azure engineering and solution experience and will function as part of a highly skilled, agile development and architecture team supporting internal company initiatives.

    Essential Functions:

    • Performs complex systems development and design work in Microsoft Azure that may include logic design, I/O design, model formulation, computer architecture analysis and design, and analog or digital systems engineering.
    • Performs cloud systems modeling, simulation, and analysis.
    • Reviews completion and implementation of cloud system additions and/or enhancements and makes recommendations for operational stability.
    • Plans and implements upgrades of operating systems and designs systems enhancements.
    • Develops documentation on new or existing cloud systems.
    • Develops and implements tests to ensure systems meet documented internal user requirements.
    • Identifies, analyzes, and resolves system problems.
    • Provides system/equipment specialized training and technical guidance.
    • Determines systems specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility.
    • Provides guidance and work leadership to less experienced engineers.
    • Participates in special projects as required.
    • Supports mission-critical 24x7x365, highly available, high-volume environments.
    • Has a basic fluency in Agile Software Development practices.
    • Able to assess, debug, and resolve IT issues and escalations in a timely manner, showing an appropriate sense of urgency and ability to prioritize work when multiple issues are presents simultaneously.
    • Responsible for systems and application performance monitoring
    • Rotational on-call responsibility requiring occasional after-hours work.

    Required Qualifications:

    • B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or comparable experience.
    • 5+ years of system administration experience in a large heterogeneous Linux/Windows environment is required.
    • 5+ years' experience with virtualization technologies.
    • In-depth knowledge of Azure IaaS and PaaS services.
    • Experienced with Azure SQL, Azure Automation, and/or Azure Resource Manager.
    • Azure Storage and Backup Experience.
    • Azure network experience, VPN and Express route, Azure DNS, Traffic Manager, and Load Balancers.
    • Experience designing and planning Azure environments in Enterprise environments including application dependencies, network connectivity, and overall virtualization technologies
    • Experience using Azure Migration tools such as Azure Site Recovery Manager, Platespin or AppZero.
    • Expert level experience with Roles and Features of Microsoft Windows Server including Active Directory, Clustering, DHCP, Files Services and others.
    • Experience supporting mission critical 24x7x365, high availability, high volume environments
    • Works well in a collaborate environment, as well as independently.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of writing proposals, papers, and documentation, acting as a vendor liaison, making presentations to customers or client audiences or professional peers, and working closely with upper management.
    • Able to resolve IT issues and escalations in a timely manner (appropriate sense of urgency.
