Our client a Top Tier Investment Firm has partner up with our firm to recruit Accounting Professionals to handle a HR Payroll Accounting Specialist (Consultant) role in Nashville, TN.
Job Responsibilities:
- IB and WMA bank reconciliation and reaching out to employees to edit their direct deposit.
- Post confirm for IB, then completing the month end process, suspense entries.
- Reconciliation and go into BCS integrity system and work with that system.
- Stop payments for checks and direct deposits.
- Prepare detailed reports, account reconciliations, journal entries
- Ensure complete and accurate accounting including certifying each month end
- Prepare and analyze ad-hoc reports
- Identify and reconcile payroll discrepancies
- Interact with internal business partners (i.e. finance, compliance, legal, group tax) and external vendors (i.e. KPMG, ADP, E&Y) regarding accounting matters
- Escalate issues when required and work with appropriate parties to resolve
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 2-4 years' experience in Public and/or Corporate Accounting
- Excel (vlookup, Pivot table)
- Knowledge of US Payroll accounting federal, state, local laws, as well as, accounting regulations and concepts (Puerto Rico tax, highly preferred)
- Knowledge of ADP payroll and SAP GL systems - experience in data analysis, financial reporting and reconciliation of financial data
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and synthesizing skills with front-to-back knowledge of payroll accounting processes
- Comfortable working independently, as well as in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Able to effectively communicate both orally and in writing
- Able to successfully demonstrate time management habits and prioritize several concurrent requirements and responsibilities
