    Job Description

    Link Solutions is seeking a PC Support Technician to join our team at Fort Leavenworth, KC.

    • Must be a US Citizen
    • Non-remote (relocation incentive available)

    The PC Systems Specialist will support the Training Management Directorate at the US Army Combined Arms Center (150+ end-user devices, MS Windows Desktops, and Video/Teleconference centers). The Specialist will provide a variety of computer hardware and software services to end users for the operation and use of computer hardware and software and related peripherals, and provide individual and coordinated group training on various computer software topics.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Supports a variety of Information Systems projects, such as new system installations for a department.
    • Installs, set up or relocates, configures, troubleshoots, and supports PC/server hardware and software; installs and configures software upgrades; configures and performs tuning of operating systems to enhance PC performance; installs and configures network interfaces and Internet connections; diagnoses network cable and configuration problems.
    • Installs and maintains specialized software, including performing setup functions, developing associated file structures, report formats, and input forms, ensuring file security, performing data entry to populate associated databases, and documenting procedures.
    • Coordinate support with the local Network Enterprise Center.
    • Services support tickets for Training Management Directorate (TMD) users.
    • Implement and design an organization-wide set of standards for the implementation of future and existing information systems.
    • Responds to user inquiries and requests and provides technical assistance on PC systems, related hardware and software, and standard applications; provides help desk information and support; determines the cause of the problem; offers temporary solutions if the problem cannot be resolved within an appropriate timeframe.
    • Provide on-call support outside of core work hours for unscheduled events or scheduled service interruptions.

    Qualifications

    • US Citizen
    • Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a T3 security clearance.
    • IAT Level I Certification (CompTIA A+ CE equivalent or higher).
    • Windows workstation systems administration training.
    • Have and maintain CE certificate in MS Server 2016, Server 2019, Windows 10, or Microsoft Modern Desktop

    _ Preferred:_

    • Associate's Degree or High School Diploma with two (2+) years of Tech School training in an Information Technology related field.
    • IAT Level II Certification (CompTIA Security+ CE equivalent or higher).
    • Ability to organize, prioritize and meet deadlines.
    • Capable of conveying complex information in a simplistic manner.
    • Problem solver and troubleshooter that thrives in resolving complex problems.
    • Excellent communications skill (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong self-starter requiring minimal supervision.
