    JOB TITLE: Customer Service Representative

    DEPARTMENT: OEM Sales

    REPORTS TO: Vice President of Sales LOCATION: Fountain Valley, CA Temp-Hire HOURS: Mon. – Thurs. 7:30am- 5:30pm Fri. 8:00am-12:00pm

    $36,000-$38,000

    SUMMARY To provide courteous customer service via phone and emails, receive and process orders, provide technical information and availability of products.

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

     

    · Communicate with customers by phone, emails, and/or in person to provide customer support and assist in answering customers’ inquiries.

     

    · Prove accurate quotes to customers with current price, lead time, and terms.

     

    · Receive purchase orders, process sales orders in Syspro system, acknowledge orders to customers, and confirm delivery schedule.

     

    · Review open sales order report and check for on-time delivery schedule.

     

    · Call suppliers to obtain current cost and availability on products and components.

     

    · Increase sales by selling up to current customers and always looking for potential customers by evaluating new leads from website, trade shows, cold calls, etc.

     

    · Report to management all important customer concerns and inquiries in a timely manner.

     

    QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.     EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. Good phone skills and strong written/verbal communication skills.

     

    LANGUAGE SKILLS English

     

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

     

    REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
