    Job Description

    THE ROLE

    The LinkedIn Monetization Strategy & Operations Team is looking for a Manager of Monetization Strategy to help accelerate growth and improve go-to-market strategy for our Talent Solution Business ($3B+ in Revenue). This individual will work closely with leaders in our marketing, sales, and product organizations to help craft new business models, define monetization strategies for new offerings, optimize packaging & pricing for existing offers, and develop global processes to ensure successful pricing execution.

    *This role can be based throughout the U.S. with a strong preference to be based in Chicago, Detroit, New York, Omaha, San Francisco Bay Area/Sunnyvale, Washington DC or Carpinteria depending on which location the applicant chosen for the role is currently residing.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Serve as monetization strategy lead for a set of products and sales channels/segments where you will lead 2-3 monetization strategy initiatives concurrently.
    • Partner with Sales Leadership, Product Management, Product Marketing and BizOps to determine:
      • How the next generation of Talent Solution products will be brought to market and monetized 
      • How we can evolve the current product and offer portfolio pricing and packaging to accelerate growth.
    • Identify and prioritize opportunities to accelerate penetration, generate sustainable growth and enable strategic outcomes via pricing & packaging strategy.
    • Leverage hypothesis-driven analyses to evaluate pricing and packaging opportunities 
    • Build analytical models to inform, size and influence pricing strategy 
    • Drive voice of customer interviews and large-scale quantitative customer research
    • Develop business cases to align senior execs on key monetization decisions.
    • Partner with PMM, Sales Ops and Systems to develop GTM and implementation plans to support global rollout of new packaging and pricing initiatives.
    • Develop process foundations to improve price governance, execution, market validation, & decision making
    • Measure and track monetization performance to enable continuous improvements to our pricing and packaging. 
    • Lead trainings on advanced pricing research methods and analysis

     

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS 

    • 4+ Years of Pricing, BizOps, and/or GTM Strategy experience at a Tech Firm or similar experience with a pricing consultancy, management consulting, strategy consulting or venture capital firm.
    • BA/BS degree in economics, management science, business, applied math, statistics, finance, analytics or related field.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 

    • Strategic and creative problem-solver who loves to tackle complex challenges in a collaborative team environment. 
    • Intellectually curious and adaptable to different environments and team settings.
    • Experience building business models or broader GTM strategies, optimizing packaging & pricing for B2B internet / SaaS / Software businesses 
    • Demonstrated success and passion for collecting and using customer insight to drive strategic GTM, pricing and/or packaging decisions. 
    • Experience operating in a cross-functional work environment with a history of making impact.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, “get it done” entrepreneurial environment
    • Data driven with experience in SQL and/or financial modeling 
    • Proven track record in developing the business case for changes in GTM strategy for a global senior executive audience (Senior Directors/VPs/LOB C-Suite)
    • Relevant graduate level degree in business (i.e., MBA), economics or a related field
