TECHNICAL INFORMATION SYSTEM SECURITY OFFICER (ISSO)

PROJECT:

Pangiam Labs is the innovation center of the Pangiam family of companies. Pangiam Labs develops technology solutions to solve complex identity, biometrics, security, and data exchange challenges for the travel industry, governments, and other sectors.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Technical Information System Security Officer (ISSO) will develop, plan, and implement an information technology (IT) security strategy that meets the company’s business needs, delivers optimal return on investment, and maintains utmost security.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collaborates with members of the executive team to identify proactive security measures, assessing risks, and response protocols for security breaches.
• Develops system security policies.
• Leads 3rd party and government security and compliance audits of company products and systems.
• You monitor networks, databases, and computer systems and create a risk management plan for IT systems.
• Reviews newly acquired company/asset security practices and policies and makes recommendations where new company needs to align with parent company.
• Conducts internal security testing and assessments, reports on findings, and ensures corrective action on findings.
• Produces and provides training for employees on secure computer practices.
• Advises and supports software development teams in code development and architecture.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

• FISMA High, FISMA Mod, FedRamp, Cloud, On-Premise, Mobile
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in system security assessment tools.
• Thorough understanding of information technology and information technology systems.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or Information Technology required.
• System Security Certifications preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
• Some travel may be required.
