As a Front End Developer at Linode you will work on our open source single page app used by developers like you around the world. This interface is used to manage hundreds of thousands of Linodes running on our global datacenter network. The application is on cloud.linode.com and is an Open Source project hosted on Github https://github.com/linode/manager.

In this position, you will develop the display layer logic (JavaScript /React /Redux) and maintain the component library (CSS, Material UI) of our application. You will help to make sure our front-end applications are performant, accessible, and responsive. You will work with UX designers to implement engaging user experiences for thousands of users. You will also be able to work on our business logic to improve application performance, features, and reliability.

TECHNOLOGIES

You don't have to have experience with all of these, but you should have experience with some of them and an interest in learning others

Must haves:

• 1+ years of professional experience in web application development
• Experience with software development
• Experience with a user interface framework such as Material UI, Tailwind
• Experience with HTML5 and CSS3
• Experience with a React, Vue or Angular
• Experience with accessibility standards like A11y
• Educated views on technology and software design to bring to the table
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Nice to haves:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Contributions to open-source projects as well as your own projects
• Build and deployment automation experience
• Experience with browser automation
