Linode is looking for software engineers to develop integrations between our platform and Infrastructure as Code cloud automation tools.

As a Software  Engineer on our 3rd Party Tools (3PT) team, you'll build products and services that can easily and seamlessly work with third party solutions like Terraform, Chef , Ansible and Salt. You'll get a chance to work on every nook and cranny of our product line-up to ease the accessibility of our services through third party platforms and by automating the provisioning of our tools via things like Puppet and Chef.

TECHNOLOGIES

You don't have to have experience with all of these, but you should have experience with some of them and an interest to learn others

• Infrastructure as code tools: Terraform, Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Salt
• Python, pip, virtualenv, pytest
• Ruby
• JavaScript (ES6 / ES7), NodeJS
• Perl, C, Bash
• Debian architecture and packaging, Linux Virtualization and Containers, QEMU
• Git, Jenkins, Docker

MUST HAVES:

• 3+ years experience in software development
• Educated views on technology and software design to bring to the table
• Experience with automated testing
• A Love for Linux

NICE-TO-HAVES:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Contributions to open source projects as well as your own projects
• Systems Architecture and Design Skills
• API Design experience
• Build and Deployment Automation Experience
• Experience in a hosting environment or other IAAS or SAAS provider
