    Job Description

    Working under the direction of the Chief Technology Officer, the successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing the organization's computer systems, servers, and network infrastructure. This role involves overseeing the installation, configuration, and management of hardware and software, troubleshooting system issues, ensuring data security, and providing support to end-users.

    General Requirements:

    • Relevant degree (IT Infrastructure, Networking etc.) or equivalent work experience
    • In-depth knowledge of operating systems (Linux, Windows) and related software (e.g. Office365, SaaS account management, etc.).
    • Familiarity with both on-prem and cloud computing infrastructure (e.g., AWS) and virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V, Docker).
    • Experience with network configuration and management (Active Directory, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, etc.).
    • Proficiency in system security practices, firewall configurations, and encryption.
    • Familiarity with scripting and automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python, Ansible) is a plus.
    • CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ (preferred).
    • Good written and spoken English communication skills
    • Passionate about technology, new ideas, and always willing to learn new things

    Technical Skill Requirements:

    System Maintenance Support:

    • Install, configure, and maintain operating systems (Windows, Linux etc.) and software applications.
    • Monitor system performance, diagnose problems, and troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
    • Ensure uptime, reliability, and system availability through regular maintenance and proactive monitoring.

    Network Management:

    • Set up and manage internal networks, routers, firewalls, and switches.
    • Ensure proper network connectivity and security for internal systems and remote access.
    • Administer and support VPNs, DNS, DHCP, and other network-related services.

    Security & Compliance:

    • Implement security measures, such as firewalls, antivirus software, encryption, and access controls to safeguard systems and data.
    • Regularly update software and systems to protect against security vulnerabilities.
    • Conduct system audits and data backups to ensure the integrity of the system and compliance with industry standards.

    User Support & Training:

    • Provide technical support for end-users, including troubleshooting issues and answering queries.
    • Train staff on system and software use, ensuring smooth operation and minimal downtime.
    • Assist with setting up user accounts, permissions, and system access.

    System Optimization & Documentation:

    • Continuously assess system performance and implement improvements to optimize speed, reliability, and scalability.
    • Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.

    Backup & Recovery:

    • Ensure regular backups of critical systems and data are conducted.
    • Manage disaster recovery processes to restore services in the event of system failures.
