This position is in Fremont, CA Claims Examiner We are currently looking for an experienced Claims Examiner for our Fremont, California office. JOB SUMMARY Our Claims Examiners provide customer service, as well as; process medical, dental, weekly disability and life insurance claims for active and retired participants in conformity with Plan benefits and provisions and LIA Claims department procedures. We're looking for word processing and data entry ability, the capability to edit documents and knowledge of Windows, Excel and Access. Currently using BASYS software and Anthem Blue Cross website. The position requires at least (2) years of prior Claims Processing experience. We pride ourselves on our ability to process accurately and timely , and our qualified candidate would possess experience in on-line claims adjudication and a working knowledge of claims codes and descriptions, medical terminology, PPO provider guidelines, COB, eligibility, limitations, exclusions, case management and medical review. Fluent Spanish speaking ability is a plus. In order to qualify for this position , t he applicant must pass; the written test for claims examiner, online general assessments for typing, cognitive/reasoning/reading comprehension and vocabulary, as well as, assessments for proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES -Our Claims Examiners accurately interpret plan benefits and process claims accordingly. -Our Examiners provide Customer Service to our members by answering questions regarding eligibility and benefits for all Plans, providing concise and accurate information. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES -Minimum of two years current experience processing medical and dental claims on-line. -Familiarity or working knowledge of medical terminology, R.V.S., C.P.T., I.C.D.A., Diagnosis Codes (ICD-10), and H.C.P.C.S. codes. All candidates are given a written test for Claims Examiner, online general assessments for typing, cognitive/reasoning/reading comprehension and vocabulary, as well as, assessments for proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook.
