    JOB SUMMARY

    LISI HOLDING NORTH AMERICA IS LOOKING FOR A PURCHASING COORDINATOR.

    As a Purchasing Coordinator you will be responsible for managing commodities as Lead Buyer for the North American territory. You will own the Group purchasing policy and strategies deployment (aligned with local specificities).Drive the performance and the value creation of the purchasing function within the North American Territory and animate the purchasing community.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Develop, lead and execute purchasing strategies Build up a cross functional team composed of the key prescribers and Purchasing representatives of the plants (all divisions)

    • Compile and analyse the business requirements in collaboration with the cross functional team
    • Analyse the supplier market (key players, trends, developments  ...)
    • Identify purchasing levers (« Buy cheaper », « Buy better », « Consume less ») and proposes economic and operational performance objectives
    • Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
    • Craft negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal terms
    • Partner with stakeholders to ensure clear requirements documentation
    • Validate the supplier panel with the cross functional team
    • Develop and implement agreements (at Group / Division level)
    • Support LISI plants in the deployment of the strategy and/or the contracts
    • Manage the commodity performance (savings, OTD, Quality, Innovation)
    • Identify/evaluate risks, and propose solutions
    • Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power
    • Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking
    • Assess, manage and mitigate risks
    • Seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers
    • Manage the supplier panel and the supplier performance and oversee the supplier improvements in collaboration with the plants and SPM team
    • Manage the commodity performance (savings, OTD, Quality, Innovation)
    • Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand
    • Define the stakes and objectives of the zone aligned with the Purchasing strategy of the Group
    • Define the purchasing objectives performance of the plants in collaboration with BG director and Division purchasing directors
    • Pilot the TOP (Targeted Optimal Procurement) project deployment across the zone and any cross-functional projects when needed
    • Develop close relationship with the plant purchasing managers of the zone
    • Assist when needed the consultations/negotiations carried out by the plant purchasing teams
    • Report the purchasing performance in collaboration with the plant purchasing teams (savings, OTD, quality)
    • Manage the supplier performance and oversee the supplier improvements in collaboration with the plant purchasing teams and SPM team (if needed and for suppliers common to NAR sites)
    • Pilot the plant purchasing teams skills assessment in collaboration with Division purchasing directors
    • Source and identify new suppliers meeting LISI Group requirements
    • Contribute to the continuous improvement of purchasing processes
    • Animate internal benchmark, workshops and training with the plant purchasing teams of the zone
    • Animate purchasing routines (eg. sourcing table, strategic supplier committee..) with the purchasing teams of the zone
    • Is the interface between Lead Buyers (based in Europe) and the plant purchasing teams of the zone
    • Ensure the adequacy of the purchase strategies defined by the Lead Buyers (based in Europe)  with the stakes and objectives of the zone
    • Facilitate the deployment of the strategies and negotiated contracts led by the Lead Buyers (based in Europe)

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Proven working experience as purchasing coordinator, agent or officer
    • Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management
    • Interest in market dynamics along with business sense
    • A knack for negotiation and networking
    • Working experience of vendor management software
    • Ability to gather and analyze data and to work with figures
    • Solid judgement along with decision making skills
    • Strong leadership capabilities
    • BS degree in supply chain management, logistics or business administration
