    Overview

    We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at our facility in Livonia, MI, 48150. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for utilizing your expertise in CAD Software, GD&T, and other engineering principles to support our manufacturing processes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient production runs and troubleshoot any mechanical or electrical issues that may arise.     Responsibilities

    • Utilize CAD Software, specifically AutoCAD, to design and modify blueprints and electrical schematics
    • Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate production setups
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and improve manufacturing processes
    • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues during production runs
    • Perform machine setups for production runs and ensure proper functionality
    • Utilize GD&T principles to ensure product quality and compliance
    • Conduct PLC troubleshooting to identify and resolve any issues
    • Experience with PPAP process and ability to develop and implement new processes
    • Experience with machining and/or cold heading processes a plus
    • Contribute to product design and development, providing valuable insights and recommendations
    • Provide constant communication between Engineering & Operations
    • Support operations by providing technical support and engineering data
    • Support engineering by providing feedback, data and other information needed to process parts
    • Calculation production and material costs
    • Review & recommend continuous improvements to manufacturing processes and efficiences
    • Identifies need for established work procedure and standardized method
    • Document and communicate work procedure and standardized methods as needed
    • Identifies need for training and communicates need to appropriate manager
    • Perform all other duties as assigned, instructed, or directed

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field
    • Proficiency in CAD Software, specifically AutoCAD
    • Strong understanding of GD&T principles
    • Basic computer skills and ability to navigate various software programs
    • Experience reading and interpreting blueprints
    • Valid driver's license for occasional travel to other facilities
    • Knowledge of electrical schematics and hydraulics
    • Experience working in a manufacturing environment
    • Ability to perform machine setups for production runs
    • Excellent mechanical troubleshooting skills
    • Proficiency in PLC troubleshooting
    • Experience with PPAP process and process development
    • Product design experience is a plus
