    LISI MEDICAL JEROPA (Escondido, CA) is looking for two (2) Quality Visual Inspectors to join out team!  Positions will be on our 2ND SHIFT, WORKING M-TH, FROM 2:45PM TO 1:15AM.  Please do not apply unless you are willing to work shift specified above.

    This position requires a positive can-do attitude combined with the desire to be part of a team. You must get along well with others and have good communication skills, both verbal and email. You'll need to have strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment is essential. The Quality Visual Inspector inspects products manufactured or processed by the company. Audits and reports on close tolerance precision machined components, processes, and products using variable or attribute measuring instruments and techniques.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Visually inspects product to visual standards using a stereo microscope.

    • Sorts parts by using the microscope, blows out internal dimensions of parts using an air gun, and inspects and/or sorts parts using pin gages or thread gages,

    • Implements and suggests waste elimination initiatives specifically related to the function and department such as recycling opportunities and elimination of paper waste and production waste

    • Proficient in the use of attribute measurement systems such as GO/NG thread gauges, GO/NG plug/ring gages, and functional fit gages.

    • Proficient in the use of handheld inspection tools such as digital micrometers, caliper, profilometer and bore gage.

    • Performs linear, angular, and profile overlay comparison measurements with an optical comparator.

    • Operates automated inspection instruments such as video comparator, image measurement system, and coordinate measuring machine either manually or by running part measurement programs.

    • Verifies and documents first production piece following machine setups and last production piece following the completion of a production order.

    • Must be able to read, interpret, and understand dimension and tolerances on the part drawing.

    • Performs and records audits of production processes using established check sheets to assure conformance to customer and industry specifications.

    • A basic understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing as it relates to inspection interpretations is desired.

    • Ability to manage calibration activity by scheduling calibrations, filing, and retrieving calibration records.

    • Follow all 5S department procedures which include but are not limited to; keeping floors clean of oil and debris, returning tools to proper locations, organize part pans, and perform other housekeeping duties.

    • Other duties may be assigned.

    • Adheres and implements all company HSE policies, procedures, and practices.

    • All employees are responsible for complying with the rules and regulations set forth by Federal, Local, and State government, LISI Medical Jeropa, and HSE Procedures.

    • All employees are responsible for attending all training provided and for adhering to all HSE procedures, policies, and plans, conforming to reporting requirements, and safe operating procedures at all times.

    • All employees are required to bring any known or suspected non-conformance for all company procedures or legal requirements to management's attention immediately.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent education.
    • Understanding of test equipment and lab procedures. 
    • Minimum 6 months to 1 year of inspection and/or physical laboratory experience.
    • Demonstrated ability to run coordinate measuring machine and digital vision inspection system programs
    • Demonstrated ability to interpret GD&T call outs
    • Demonstrated mathematics skills in trigonometry / geometry
    • College level mathematics, statistics, or quality concepts desired but no mandatory.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • ASQ Quality Inspector Certification is desired but not mandatory
