Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to assist attorneys with all aspects of the litigation process, including case management, legal research, document preparation, and trial support. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of litigation procedures and excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist attorneys in preparing for hearings, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
Draft, proofread, and file legal documents such as pleadings, motions, subpoenas, discovery requests/responses, and correspondence.
Conduct legal research and summarize case law, statutes, and regulations.
Manage case files and maintain accurate and organized electronic and physical records.
Coordinate and manage discovery process including the collection, review, and production of documents.
Perform factual and legal investigation and analysis.
Assist with trial preparation including preparing exhibits, organizing witness files, and creating trial notebooks.
File documents electronically with state and federal courts using e-filing systems.
Communicate with clients, witnesses, court personnel, and opposing counsel.
Maintain and track litigation deadlines using case management software.
Scheduling
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2–5 years of litigation experience in a law firm or corporate legal department.
Proficiency with legal research tools and e-discovery platforms.
Familiarity with federal and state court rules and procedures.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
Previous experience as a Litigation Paralegal or similar role is preferred
Familiarity with legal procedures, terminology, and the court system
Highly organized with document management experience
Excellent research skills
Comfortable Microsoft Office and case management software
Ability to multitask and work well under pressure
Bilingual- Spanish
Associate’s degree or bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required.
Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program strongly preferred, but not required.
