We are a boutique commercial law firm (9 attorneys) looking for a mid to senior-level attorney (5+ years of experience). We are seeking an attorney passionate about being a true advisor and problem solver for businesses and business owners. We are seeking an experienced litigation attorney with a strong background in partnership disputes and general commercial litigation, including claims involving breach of contract, misrepresentation, and breach of fiduciary duty. • Substantial experience litigating partnership, shareholder, and fiduciary duty disputes; • Demonstrated ability to handle complex commercial litigation from investigation through resolution; • Strong legal research, drafting, and oral advocacy skills; • Familiarity with business torts, injunction practice, and strategic motion work; • Trial experience is a strong plus, whether as first or second chair. Responsibilities: • Spot legal issues with new matters • Review and analyze legal issues and provide practical solutions to clients • Draft motions, pleadings, memoranda, and briefs • Strategize and prepare for discovery • Attend and manage hearings, mediations, settlement conferences, and court proceedings • Effectively communicate with clients and provide legal advice • Work both independently and as a contributing team member Qualifications: • Doctor of Jurisprudence (J.D.) from an accredited law school • Licensed to practice law in the state of Texas • 5+ years of civil litigation experience • Comfortable with Texas Rules of Civil Procedure and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure • Comfortable with legal research and motion practice • Trial experience is a strong plus Compensation: $135,000 - $150,000+ yearly
