Position Overview

Germer PLLC is seeking a Litigation Associate with a minimum of 2 years of experience to join its San Antonio office. The Associate will assist with and, as experience allows, independently handle an active docket of cases involving insurance defense, personal injury defense, products liability, construction litigation, and employment law matters, while gaining exposure to the firm’s broader civil litigation practice.

This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career attorney who is eager to develop practical courtroom and case management experience, as well as for more experienced candidates ready to take on increased responsibility. The firm offers flexible work arrangements that will be determined based on the candidate's experience, practice needs, and office alignment.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, legal memoranda, and other legal documents
• Prepare client reports and case evaluations
• Attend and participate in hearings, depositions, and mediations as appropriate
• Assist with case strategy and file management
• Support trial preparation and participate in trials, as appropriate
• Manage deadlines across multiple active matters

Qualifications

• JD from an ABA -accredited law school
• Admitted to practice in the state of Texas
• Minimum of 2 years of litigation experience
• Strong interest in civil litigation and courtroom practice
• Excellent writing, analytical, and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment
