About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Litigation Legal Assistant to support our attorneys in all phases of the litigation process. The ideal candidate will be proactive, professional, and capable of managing multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. This role requires strong communication skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a legal team.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys in all phases of litigation, including drafting legal documents, pleadings, discovery requests, and preparing filings/e-filings with state and federal courts
- Prepare correspondence, legal templates, and document forms
- Organize and manage case files—both electronic and physical
- Maintain accurate and timely document management systems
- Prepare trial binders, exhibit lists, and materials for court appearances
- Coordinate with clients, opposing counsel, court clerks, and internal teams
- Provide administrative support including scheduling meetings, maintaining calendars, and answering calls
- Enter attorney time; review prebills and final bills
- Process expense reimbursements
- Maintain cost files and related billing documentation for each matter
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a litigation legal assistant supporting multiple attorneys
- Strong understanding of litigation processes, court rules, and e-filing procedures
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal document management systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and high-level proofreading abilities
- Professional demeanor, reliability, and a strong sense of confidentiality
