  • Responsibilities

    We are looking to hire an experienced paralegal to join us for mostly civil litigation in Jacksonville, Florida. The ideal candidate will have 10 to 15+ years of hands-on litigation experience and be fully capable of autonomously managing civil and business litigation cases from initial intake through trial. This is a full-time, in-office role requiring a high degree of organization, flexibility, and adaptability. We are looking for someone with an exceptional work ethic paired with a professional, pleasant personality. Strong knowledge of the Florida Civil Rules of Procedure and extensive E-filing experience in both State and Federal courts is expected. Responsibilities: Core Responsibilities • Assist attorneys in managing complex business, contract, and civil cases from intake through final resolution. • Conduct in-depth legal research and case analysis using primarily LexisNexis databases. • Draft and review complex legal documents, pleadings, motions, subpoenas, demand letters, and discovery requests. • Fully coordinate and schedule client appointments, depositions, hearings, and track deadlines to ensure timely filings. • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, witnesses, and opposing counsel. • Lead trial preparation, including building trial exhibits, witness binders, and managing courtroom logistics. • Maintain clean client correspondence logs, organize master case files, and provide workflow administrative support to primary counsel. Qualifications: Position RequirementsExperience: Minimum of 10 years of experience as a litigation paralegal in a law firm setting, with recent and extensive experience navigating primarily the Florida court system. • Education: A bachelor’s degree and/or a paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program is highly preferred. • Technical Skills: Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and Florida and Federal E-Filing portals. • Soft Skills: Ability to interact professionally, multitask tightly changing priorities, and handle sensitive global legal infrastructure with total integrity and confidentiality. • Valued Pluses: Prior experience handling Family Law matters, or past paralegal experience within New York, Georgia, or Alabama state courts is considered an asset. Compensation: $74,500 yearly
