Job Summary
The Paralegal will play a critical role in supporting attorneys through trial preparation, case management, and client communication. This position requires exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Case Preparation & Management
Organize, index, and maintain case files in digital and physical formats.
Manage document review and maintain accurate databases.
Legal Drafting & Filing
Draft motions, pleadings, discovery requests, and responses.
Prepare witness statements, affidavits, and declarations.
Handle e-filing across state and federal courts.
Trial Support
Assist attorneys with pre-trial and trial preparation, including exhibits and witness coordination.
Client Interaction
Communicate professionally with clients, ensuring clarity and confidentiality.
Research
Conduct legal research using advanced tools and summarize findings for attorney review.
Administrative Support
Schedule hearings, depositions, and maintain case calendars.
The firm reserves the right to modify duties as needed to meet business objectives.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree (Paralegal certification preferred).
Experience: 1–2 years in a law firm or legal setting (criminal defense experience is a plus).
Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Proficiency in legal research tools and e-filing systems.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Multilingual skills (Spanish or Arabic) are highly desirable.
