The Rolon Law Firm seeks the right right person to fill the role of Litigation Paralegal. Consider applying if you are detail-oriented, dependable, and have at least 3 years of experience with litigation. This position supports the litigation team with substantive casework in areas of both civil litigation and probate litigation. This position also involves some light administrative support. Job Type: Full-time Benefits: • 401(k) & 401(k) matching (after 3 months employment) • Dental/Health/Vision insurance • Annual PTO • Yearly Bonus Opportunity • Free parking • Wellness program Responsibilities: • Draft shells, pleadings, motions, and discovery documents. • Conduct legal research and cite-check authorities. • Organize, review, and summarize discovery materials and case files. • Assist attorneys in preparing for hearings, depositions, trials, and client meetings. • Maintain case calendars, deadlines, and docketing. • Communicate with clients, courts, and opposing counsel in a professional manner. • Manage filing of court documents (electronic and physical). • Investigate facts and develop timelines. • Calendar and track all deadlines, hearings, and court dates • Review and organize client-provided documents and evidence. • Track billable time and case expenses consistently and accurately • Serve as the initial point of contact for prospective clients by phone, email, or online inquiries. • Be capable of explaining the firm’s services, processes, and next steps clearly and professionally. • Enter and maintain accurate client data in the firm’s case management system. • Schedule consultations and coordinate with attorneys and staff as needed. • Track leads and follow up with prospective clients in a timely manner. • Provide excellent customer service, demonstrating empathy and understanding during sensitive conversations. • Assist with additional administrative tasks as needed. Qualifications: • You MUST have a minimum of 3 years prior litigation experience. • You MUST live close to the office or be willing to relocate. • Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal Certificate preferred. • Experience in probate litigation is a plus. • Strong knowledge of Texas Rules of Civil Procedure and local court filing requirements. • Experience managing deadlines, discovery, and trial prep. • Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills. • Flexible, resourceful, and capable of working independently or as part of a team. • Strong verbal and written communication skills. • Ability to multitask effectively. • Professional, empathetic, and client-centered demeanor. • Proficiency with case management software (preferably Clio), Microsoft Office, and CRM tools (preferred). Compensation: $67,000 - $85,000
