Responsibilities: • Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and depositions by organizing and managing case files. • Draft and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests, ensuring accuracy and compliance with court rules. • Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategies and provide attorneys with relevant case law and precedents. • Coordinate and manage communication with clients, witnesses, and court officials to facilitate smooth case progression. • Review and summarize depositions, interrogatories, and other legal documents to provide concise case insights. • Maintain and update case management systems, ensuring all information is current and accessible for the legal team. • Support attorneys in trial preparation by organizing exhibits, preparing trial notebooks, and managing logistics for court appearances. Qualifications: • You MUST have a minimum of 3 years of prior litigation experience. • You MUST live close to the office or be willing to relocate. • Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal Certificate preferred. • Experience in probate litigation is not required, but is a plus. • Strong knowledge of Texas Rules of Civil Procedure and local court filing requirements. • Experience managing deadlines, discovery, and trial prep. • Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills. • Flexible, resourceful, and capable of working independently or as part of a team. • Strong verbal and written communication skills. • Ability to multitask effectively. • Professional, empathetic, and client-centered demeanor. • Proficiency with case management software (preferably Clio), Microsoft Office, and CRM tools (preferred). Compensation: $67,000 - $85,000 yearly
