Mason, Mason, Walker, & Hedrick seeks an experienced workers’ compensation and or liability litigation paralegal for its Newport News office. Applicants must have a minimum of one-year experience with state and or federal court cases. Responsibilities include preparing routine legal documents, such as notices of appearance, discovery, pleadings, and pre-hearing submissions, drafting and issuing subpoenas, reviewing and summarizing medical records, and or any other case administration tasks, such as scheduling depositions. Applicants must be team-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment. The most desirable candidate will be someone who is task-oriented, able to follow client guidelines and work a case from start to finish, communicate proficiently, and exhibit a professional demeanor. Microsoft Office experience is required and some understanding of case management software is preferable.

Mason, Mason, Walker, and Hedrick offers a desirable work schedule that allows employees to work Monday through Friday from 8:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. with one hour provided for lunch. Our benefits package includes health, dental, and vision insurance as well as paid holidays, sick leave, and vacation time. After one year of employment, we offer 401k matching and student loan repayment assistance. The salary for this position is $55,000.00 to $65,000.00 per year.
