Little Angels is a Reggio Emilia inspired, play based preschool. We emphasis on Art, sensory and outdoor play and being out in the community, creating a solid relationship with each family and working as a team together to create a wonderful loving and educational experience for the children in our care. We have two locations in San Francisco.

We have two positions available immediately for qualified candidates who meet the requirements below. We require a min of 2 years childcare in a classroom experience and 24 ECE units or AA in ECE as a min qualifications.

1 : TODDLER AND PRESCHOOL LEAD TEACHER. AA degree in ECE or min. 24 ECE units required : ( Bernal Heights, San Francisco)

We are looking for an experienced Lead preschool teacher with Toddler experience to lead a Pod of 8 children between the ages of; 2 -3 years of age. The teacher will be working with a team of 2 part time Teacher Assistants. This position is about 30-34 hrs a week. Salary for Qualified candidates : $20-$23 / hr DOE. CANDIDATES MUST HAVE A MINIMUM OF AN AA IN ECE. (BA IN EDUCATION PREFERRED ) AND 2 YEARS EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH TODDLERS AND PRESCHOOLERS IN A GROUP SETTING.

Duties for Lead TEACHER

• Develop and maintain a constructive and ongoing rapport with children, parents and the other teachers on the team
• Create an age appropriate curriculum that is fun and educational for the children, based on the child's interest, and abilities. Knowledge of Reggio Emilia and project based curriculum strongly preferred. And a warm and loving environment for all children.
• Collaborate with other teachers to ensure that the school fosters an environment that is inviting and nurturing for every child. And that we meet each child's needs.
• Deliver reports on potential concerns about children as needed to management.
• Manage day-to-day classroom activities, including structured lessons, free play,Hygiene, lunch time and rest time for children.
• Train staff as needed on Job requirements.
• •Maintain visual and auditory supervision of children at all times to ensure their safety in the classroom, on the playground, and on field trips.
• • Follow all center policies and state regulations.
• Solid knowledge of DRDP assessments
• Multi tasking and reliable

Qualifications:

• Must possess a minimum of an AA degree in Early childhood education. BA preferred.

• Minimum of two year experience in a preschool setting

• Reliable, creative and multi tasking skills.

• Strong understanding of child development. Some experience with special needs children Preferred.

• Ability to work independently as well as work well with others and to foster a team environment. Ability to lead a team of Teacher assistants and communicate well with other staff and director

• Must clear full background check.

• Dependable, On time and team builder

Both position can start as early as Dec 9th or By January 4th.

Salary: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour

Split into 3 cohorts of 6-7 children and two teaching team. We are a play based school inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach.
