Little Explorers Early Learning Academy ~ Making the World a Better Place One Child at a Time

Do you want to go to work knowing that you are making a difference in the lives of children and families every day? Do you want your work to mean something? At Little Explorers we aren't afraid to DREAM BIG! We KNOW that is our responsibility and privilege to make the world a better place, one child at a time.

Our goal is to help children develop into their best selves, young individuals who are well-rounded, kind, independent thinkers with the ability and the drive to make the world a better place. We create a secure, engaging, and enjoyable environment that promotes learning through play, exploration, and hands-on experiences. Children thrive in a warm, comforting, home-away-from home environment where they can feel comfortable being themselves and taking on new challenges.

Having the opportunity to be a part of that joy, learning, growth, and development is not just a job - it’s a calling! People who are looking for an easy job to clock in, clock out, and collect a paycheck need not apply. People who feel compelled to do something meaningful and are willing to put in the work to create change are encouraged to apply!

*Our Little Explorers children are so excited to learn new things and take pride in each new accomplishment. Members of the Little Explorers team take joy in each child’s new discoveries as well!

Job Requirements: If the following statements resonate with you, contact us immediately….

    • MUST LOVE KIDS!!!

    • MUST possess a genuine desire to give hugs, wipe boogers, comfort crying kiddos, dance around to silly songs, color & draw, have your hair done by a two year old, have pretend conversations “on the phone” into a block, eat pretend food like a champ, and create magical memories!

    • A strong stomach… for the yucky stuff... mostly boogers & smells… And the ability to identify immediately who or what a smell is coming from is a MAJOR BONUS and will save lots of time and energy in the long run. (With this you will also develop a high level of comfort talking about bodily functions. No worries - this is totally normal!)

    • The ability to not take yourself too seriously - in order to keep the attention and engagement of four and five year olds at the same time, one must be willing to look ridiculous from time to time

    • Able to see and count a sea of moving heads instantaneously and locate anyone playing hide and seek by themselves (or with an imaginary friend).

    • Ability to read a story while one child crawls in your lap, another tries to grab the book, another one is telling you a completely different story, and yet another is styling your hair. (Multi-tasking is a must)

Ability to read in different accents, dialects, and character voices preferred but not required - but definite perk for your co-teacher, as it will keep the littles engaged long enough for him or her to get at least one thing checked off that to-do list

-Able to identify and remember the names of, not just your kids and other kids in the building, but also parents, grandparents, pets, lovies, coats, socks, hair bows, and any other item that has ever walked in your classroom

    • Competency in the areas of handling Pre-K drama in a way that supports social-emotional learning and growth, all while making sure the rest of the class is ok. (Again… multi-tasking is a LIFESAVER!)

-An understanding of different methods of teaching to help children with varying learning styles and readiness levels prepare for kindergarten

    • Comfortable navigating on the floor, sitting on foot high chairs, crawling through a tunnel to save a scared child, and of course using tot sized toys!

    • Happy to spend lots of time outdoors exploring with the class

    • Prepared to laugh, love, and learn more about children - and yourself - than you ever have before.

This is by far one of the most joyous and rewarding places to work, but you must be prepared to accept the challenges along with benefits this job has to offer. Yes, you will have many days where you go home utterly exhausted, but you can’t wait to go the next day and try that amazing Pinterest project you found about teaching the alphabet through superheroes, because of course superheroes are all the rage in your class.

Little Explorers is a relatively new and definitely growing company, so with passion and drive the sky's the limit!

If you are ready to join a winning team where we laugh, have fun, and kick drama out the door, come see us! We can’t wait to meet you.

*Negativity, gossip, and whining are frowned upon in this establishment

*Kids need consistency - if you have any issues with showing up and showing up consistently for the little ones in your care, this is not the job for you.
