    Kickin' It Kids Gym is the new sister company of Little Kickers Swim School and is actively growing!

    At Kickin' It, we create a space where we foster a passion for physical activity through enjoyable play experiences. Our gym contains a state-of-the-art indoor playground that offers endless fun for kiddos in addition to a diverse list of classes. We empower children with essential skills for a healthier lifestyle, focusing on locomotor development, stability, social interaction, and confidence-building activities. rom parent-assisted sessions for babies and young children to drop-off fitness classes led by expert coaches, we're dedicated to nurturing active, confident kids.

    Having grown up in Colorado, the team behind Kickin’ It spent their youth enjoying the state’s endless play and physical activities. Daphna and Yael, sisters and the owners of Little Kickers Swim School, and Mark, the former owner of Great Play Cherry Creek, are continuing their passion to promote active lifestyles for healthy children.     JOB OVERVIEW

    As the General Manager of Kickin’ It Kids Gym, you'll play a pivotal role in crafting a dynamic and engaging environment where children can explore the world of fitness and well-being. Overseeing daily operations and ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for children, families, and staff will be your number one priority. Your leadership will guide a team committed to fostering a positive atmosphere and promoting healthy habits from an early age.

    This role will report to the COO.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Team Leadership

    Lead and inspire a high-performing team, setting clear expectations, providing regular feedback, and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

    Manage team performance through regular check-ins, performance reviews, and goal-setting processes, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and individual development plans.

    Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement among staff members, promoting professional development and empowering employees to deliver exceptional service and achieve organizational goals.

    Oversee staff communication strategy and execution, including the creation and distribution of newsletters, organizing staff meetings, and coordinating special events.

    Develop and maintain staff schedules for coaches, ensuring adequate coverage for classes, events, and operational needs, while optimizing staffing levels based on program demand and staff availability.

    Operational Leadership

    Provide strategic direction and leadership to all operational aspects of the business, including staff management, facility maintenance, and program development, to ensure efficient and effective operations.

    Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and protocols to uphold safety standards, promote a positive learning environment, and enhance the overall experience for students and their families.

    Handle escalated customer service issues, involving Leadership when necessary. Close all communication loops and provide updates to all stakeholders.

    Set customer service standards for the team, ensuring that the team is providing top tier support to all clients.

    Facility Management Execution

    Oversee all aspects of facility management, including maintenance, cleanliness, and safety protocols, and proactive facility improvements to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for children and their families.

    Program Quality

    Foster an environment of play, growth and safety with our kiddos. Design curriculum that focuses on fun!

    Develop engaging and age-appropriate curriculum and program activities tailored to the developmental needs and interests of all student age groups, ensuring alignment with educational goals, safety standards, and program objectives.

    Stay abreast of industry trends, research, and best practices in early childhood education and physical development, integrating innovative approaches and methodologies into program design and implementation to enhance the overall learning experience for children.

    Financial Tracking and Management

    Monitor financial performance, including revenue, expenses, and profit margins, to ensure adherence to budgetary goals and identify areas for improvement.

    Execute financial management strategies, such as cost-saving initiatives and revenue-generating opportunities, to optimize the financial health and sustainability of the business.

    ROLE REQUIREMENTS

    2+ years of experience effectively leading teams and managing operations within a recreational or child-centric environment.

    Experience at a growing organization leading the effort to build teams, policies, programs, and revenue strategies that will scale with the organization.

    A “people first” and “servant leadership” approach to leading teams.

    Proven track record in overseeing all aspects of day-to-day operations, including staff scheduling, facility maintenance, inventory management, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols.

    Dedication to providing exceptional customer service and creating a welcoming environment for families and children.

    Strong understanding of budgeting, revenue generation, and cost management.

    Experience in recruiting, training, and motivating staff to deliver high-quality programs.

    Knowledge of relevant regulations and safety standards applicable to children's recreational facilities.

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    Ability to develop and implement engaging programs, events, and marketing initiatives to attract and retain customers and enhance the overall experience for children and families.

    Genuine interest in promoting physical activity, social interaction, and creativity in children through play-based experiences.

    Capacity to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, and willingness to adapt to changing needs and priorities as necessary

    COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

    Annual compensation of $65,000 - $85,000 depending on experience

    PTO, Sick Leave, and paid holiday package

    401(k) with matching contribution (100% matching for first 3%, 50% matching for next 2%)

    Health care with 60% of premiums covered for employee and 50% of premiums covered for dependents
