    Job Description

    Little Marvels Early Childhood School in Lakeview is hiring a qualified Teacher for our Threes classroom (3-year-olds). This position is full-time, Monday through Friday.

    Minimum of 1 year teaching and/or childcare experience preferred.

    Requirements & Qualifications:

    • At least 60 college credit hours with 6 hours related to early childhood or child development
    • Meet all other DCFS licensing requirements
    • Demonstrate success in taking individual initiative as well as working as a member of a team
    • Communicate effectively both orally and in writing with colleagues, parents, and children
    • Be reliable, dependable, nurturing, and have a strong work ethic
    • Be able to effectively handle the physical requirements of the job, including but not limited to lifting children, moving around with children, walking, standing, crouching/kneeling, and engaging in floor time activities

    Responsibilities:

    • Supervise, nurture, care for, and maintain safety of the children at all times
    • Create engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences for the children
    • Set up and maintain a well-organized, safe, and clean classroom that is conducive to children's development
    • Develop positive relationships with each child and family
    • Communicate information about the child’s day to the parents/guardians
    • Maintain confidentiality of records and information regarding students, parents, staff, and the center as a whole
    • Other duties assigned by the Director or supervisor
