If you’re energetic, creative and excited by daily challenges, then we have the job for you. We specialize in preteen, youth, toddler and infant aquatic orientation and swimming progression, with an emphasis on water safety. Our instructors help drive Little Otter’s values, creating an environment and a community where all feel welcome in a warm learning environment.
As a swim instructor you will be responsible for the safety of your class and teaching your students to swim. You must come to work ready to have fun and create the best environment for your class. You will be great at communicating with your students, their parents and with your fellow employees. You will report to the Deck Manager but we are relying on your enthusiasm, empathy and creativity to create a magical experience.
Core Duties and Responsibilities
Making sure everyone is safe.
Loving students and then teaching them to swim.
Being a team player.
Completion of required training.
Following the Little Otter Curriculum and being focused on children’s happiness, well-being and progression through our program.
Requirements
Caring and compassion for children.
Ability to work in the water for periods of up to 6 hours.
Strong communication skills.
Great attitude and willingness to be coached.
The ability to focus in a fast-paced environment
The ability to commit to 1 year of employment .
The ability to work a consistent schedule once your own classes have been assigned .
We offer paid training at $8.50 per hour and a starting wage of $10.50-$16 per hour once you are assigned classes on your own. Starting wage is negotiable with prior experience. This is a part time job with possibility of becoming a full time job.
