    Little Spurs Pediatric Urgent Care is currently seeking an HR Generalist to support the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department. This will include HRIS administration, updating employee files, payroll assistance, benefits administration, coordinating leave, and enforcing company policies and practices. The HR Generalist will facilitate and improve the talent acquisition process for current and future Dallas needs.     WHAT YOU NEED (QUALIFICATIONS):

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
    • At least one (1) or more years of human resources experience required.
    • 1 -2 years of HR recruiting and hiring experience highly preferred.
    • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
    • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s Paycor HRIS and applicant tracking systems.
    • PHR or SHRM-CP a plus.

    THE NITTY GRITTY (DAY TO DAY):

    • Provides administrative support to the human resource functions as needed, including record-keeping, file maintenance, checking faxes, scanning, and HRIS entry.
    • Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
    • Compiling and maintaining paper, digital and electronic employee records. ·
    • Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and annual training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and certifications. ·
    • Maintains the HR data base and electronic filing system. ·
    • Updates employee files to document personnel actions (status and pay changes) and PTO adjustments; provides information for payroll. ·
    • Develops, facilitates, and implements all phases of the recruitment process ·
    • Maintains Applicant Tracking System and postings ·
    • Collaborates with department managers and VP to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria. ·
    • Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization. ·
    • Assists with job posting and advertisement processes. ·
    • Screens applications and selects qualified candidates. ·
    • Schedules interviews; oversees preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials ·
    • Assists with the interview process, attending and conducting interviews with managers, directors, and other stakeholders.
    • Collaborates with the hiring manager and/or other human resource staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details. ·
    • Conducts or acquires background and reference checks and employee eligibility verifications. Sends adverse action letter when needed. ·
    • Assists in the New Employee Orientation process; duties include, but are not limited to, creating initial electronic record in Paycor, coordination of required documents and paperwork, sending out orientation emails timely, creating new employee files, coordinating on-boarding requirements, day one orientation and training, I-9 verification, policy review, and benefits briefings. ·
    • Responsible for managing and coordination of leaves of absences, FMLA paperwork, accommodation requests, and workers’ compensation. ·
    • Meets with employees reporting work-related injuries or illnesses to accept and process claims and complete injury reports in accordance with workers' compensation procedures; communicates with employees, supervisors, workers' compensation insurance carrier, medical personnel, and the business office in the monitoring of workers' compensation claims. ·
    • Assists with benefits administration including enrollments, special enrollments, annual enrollment, monthly eligibility tracking, timely terminations, and communicating benefits information to employees. ·
    • First point of contact for questions and concerns with regards to benefit programs, insurance, HRIS, workers compensation claims, payroll and employment information. Refers difficult or complex issues as needed. ·
    • Processes required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record keeping and deductions.
    • Generating various payroll reports/fielding payroll related requests for information ·
    • Responsible for assisting with 401k employee updates, enrollments, 401k loans, audits, and employee questions. ·
    • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; employee relation matters, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development. ·
    • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff. ·
    • Ensures fair and consistent administration of all human resources policies and practices. ·
    • Supports HR Director and Learning & Development leaders with training needs, scheduling, and administration ·
    • Responsible for completing employment verification requests timely. ·
    • May assist with unemployment claims. ·
    • Assists with employee recognition programs. ·
    • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance. ·
    • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law. ·
    • Responsible for exit process to include sending exit interview surveys, processing terminations, and scheduling exit interviews when required. ·
    • Assists the HR Director in collecting, organizing and presenting data, reports, or information requested by supervisors and upper management. ·
    • Assists with UCA audits and special projects. ·
    • Assist with preparation of department communications/events. ·
    • Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records. ·
    • Performs other duties as assigned.
