JOB OVERVIEW:

Little Village is a monthly news and culture magazine, distributed free, covering Iowa from a refreshing perspective. With offices in Iowa City and Des Moines, LV produces two distinct monthly print editions to serve the Eastern and Central Iowa areas.

Our staff and freelancers are deeply connected to their communities, and we publish stories from hundreds of surprising voices each year, from underrepresented and unexpected points of view.

Our editorial focus is the news, culture and events of Iowa City, Cedar Rapids, Cedar Falls/Waterloo, the Quad Cities area, the Des Moines area, Ames and Iowa at large.

We are looking for an Advertising Sales Consultant to determine prospective clients and expand ad sales locally on our Des Moines team!

EXPERIENCE:

•2-4 years of B2B outside sales experience.

•1-2 years of media sales experienced highly preferred.

•Bachelor Degree in Business, Marketing, and/or Communications preferred.

•Familiarity in utilizing CRM systems, Microsoft Office, Google Suite.

SKILL SETS:

•Ability to identify potential sales leads.

•Ability to meet and exceed monthly revenue goals.

•Create, plan, deliver presentations to advertising prospects.

•Proven track record in building and managing a sales book of business through acquisition and account management.

•Maintain account tracking and all sales activity through a CRM system.

•Coordinate and work with other team members and department to optimize sales efforts and revenue generation.
