    Just Like Home Residential Services provides supportive residential care for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities through the Texas HCS program administered by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission. Our mission is to create safe, supportive, and family-style homes where individuals can live with dignity, independence, and community inclusion.

    Position Overview

    We are seeking compassionate and reliable Live-In Direct Care Staff to support residents in our HCS group homes. This role involves living in the home during scheduled shifts and assisting individuals with daily living activities, community engagement, and maintaining a safe and supportive environment.

    This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys caregiving, wants consistent hours, and prefers a live-in work schedule with extended time off between shifts.

    Key Responsibilities

    Provide direct care and supervision to residents in a group home setting

    Assist with daily living activities, including:

    Meal preparation

    Personal hygiene and grooming

    Medication reminders (as trained)

    Housekeeping and laundry

    Support residents with community activities and appointments

    Maintain a clean, safe, and organized home environment

    Follow individual service plans and behavioral support plans

    Document daily activities and incidents as required

    Communicate with supervisors regarding resident needs or concerns

    Ensure residents are treated with dignity, respect, and compassion

    Live-In Schedule

    Staff stay overnight in the home during scheduled shifts

    Private sleeping space provided during overnight hours

    Qualifications

    High school diploma or GED preferred

    Caregiving or healthcare experience preferred (but not required)

    Ability to pass background check and drug screening

    Valid driver’s license with clean driving record

    CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

    Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist residents with mobility if needed
