    Live More Ithaca is an Ithaca-based property management company that works alongside our real estate development company; Visum Development Group.

    We've been developing and managing our properties for the past decade, guided by our core values of excellent customer service , a constant search for innovation , collaborative teamwork , and a focus on solutions.

    We are seeking a Properties Caretaker and Cleaner who shares these same values and is passionate about the property management industry.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Upkeep of properties:

    • Ensure completion of daily checklists
    • Maintain interior cleanliness and overall curb appeal for the properties
    • Clean tour route of properties daily
    • Arrange small pieces of furniture for staging purposes
    • Clean all surfaces in elevators, if applicable
    • Sanitize and clean fitness equipment
    • Mop and vacuum daily in all areas required
    • Ensure all amenity areas stay clean and presentable throughout the day
    • Maintain landscaping in good repair in between 3rd party service visits
    • Snow removal

    Other:

    • Help respond to light maintenance requests and coordinate repairs and maintenance as needed.
    • Inspect apartments after tenants move-out
    • Must be available for additional hours, including evenings, weekends, and overtime when necessary
    • Must be available to assist with move-outs, turn, and move-ins that extend beyond normal full-time hours
    • Clean and maintain the buildings to ensure a safe, clean, and organized environment for residents and guests.
    • Collaborate with general/property managers and other team members to ensure buildings operate efficiently and effectively.
    • Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when dealing with residents, guests, and team members.
    • Ensure compliance with all safety and security regulations and any relevant local, state, or federal laws.
    • Manage the inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ordering replacements as needed.
    • Regularly inspect buildings and units to ensure compliance with safety and cleanliness standards.
    • Research and recommend new technologies or tools that can improve efficiency and effectiveness in building management.
    • Other unanticipated tasks that relate to the job or are assigned

    Ideally, you'll have

    • High School or equivalent education preferred
    • Proficient in simple computer tasks.
    • Prior experience in facilities management, property management, or a related field.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse individuals.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
    • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, and reaching.
