    Live More Ithaca is seeking an experienced Accounting and Administrative Specialist to join our team to ensure the smooth and efficient running of our financial and administrative operations.     Responsibilities:

    • Manage bookkeeping, including maintaining financial records, reconciling bank statements, and ensuring accuracy of financial data
    • Handle accounts receivable and accounts payable, including issuing invoices, processing payments, and tracking outstanding balances
    • Manage resident billing, including creating and sending out monthly statements, entering payment receipts, updating ledgers, and managing any billing inquiries or disputes
    • Receive and process resident payments, including rent and utilities, and communicate with residents regarding any payment issues or questions
    • Check the mail and handle it accordingly, including distributing incoming mail and managing outgoing mail and packages
    • Manage office email accounts and respond to inquiries in a timely and professional manner
    • Ensure the efficient running of the office, including managing supplies, equipment, and facilities, and coordinating with vendors and contractors as needed
    • Maintain organized and accurate records, including file keeping and auditing
    • Manage vendor relationships, including conducting research, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely payments
    • Perform other duties as assigned to support the needs of the company

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration or a related field preferred
    • At least 2-3 years of relevant work experience in accounting and office management
    • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including bookkeeping, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
    • Experience with resident billing and payment processing preferred
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate effectively with residents, vendors, and colleagues
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to maintain organized and accurate records
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities, and work independently with minimal supervision
    • Proficiency with Google Office Suite
    • Experience with AppFolio preferred
    • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and foster a positive and inclusive work environment
