    Pearl Abyss America, Inc. – the team behind Black Desert and the upcoming titles Crimson Desert and DokeV – is seeking a high-performing, creative, results-orientated, and quality-obsessed Live Service Specialist to help accelerate our gaming reach to millions of players across all platforms (PC, Mobile, Console, etc.) in North America.

    The video game industry is transforming how players are entertained, communicating with each other, and interacting online and on their digital devices. Our company needs a Live Service Specialist who has an entrepreneurial spirit with relentless tenacity to get things done. The highest priority for this role is to continuously monitor the game live-service, collect in-game issues and player feedback, and engage players by designing and executing in-game GM events and live-streaming events.

    Our Live Service Specialists genuinely love video games, the players, and their communities; their passion for games help them improve the quality of the game's live service. In this role, you will actively interact with the players both in-game and in the community – working closely with other team members in the live service department.

    LOCATION : Manhattan Beach, CA (on-site)

    JOB TYPE : Full-time

    PAY RANGE : $21 - $25 per hour (DOE)

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Create or assist in creating weekly/monthly GM event plans and execute them during live-service
    • Work closely with other Live Service Specialists, Community Managers, and Customer Support to solicit feedback and suggestions for game improvement from the community
    • Monitor and regularly report on live-service issues and players' feedback
    • Monitor regularly live-streaming channels and social channels and work closely with partner influencers
    • Respond to live game issues that occur in-game and write up appropriate notices on the forum and social channels when necessary

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bilingual English/Spanish fluency required
    • 2+ years of work experience in the video game industry, especially in live-service, customer support, QA, community management, or related fields
    • Extensive knowledge and gameplay experience in the MMORPG genre
    • Prior experience/interactions with the gaming communities – forum or user groups on social channels
    • Experience in social content creation and posting, publishing calendars, asset creation, copywriting, reporting, and analytics
    • Strong customer service ethic and great interpersonal communication skills
    • Writing skills for announcements or forum notices with a great sense of humor
    • Ability to act fast on problems or communications and deliver the best results amid a fast-paced, high-volume environment
    • Creativity, curiosity, and a willingness to learn and grow
    • Professional and mature demeanor along with strong time-management and organization skills for coordinating multiple initiatives and priorities

    *International travel may be required for this position
