    Job Description

    Our new fulfillment manager should have a strong focus on business profitability and possess an organized approach aimed at effectively managing on-site fulfillment staff, processing quality products & services, and administering and managing fulfillment operations to ensure that only the highest quality plants are selected, cleaned, prepped and packaged for timely delivery to customers. They will establish plans and strategies necessary to the develop operations. Ultimately this role will include training future fulfillment managers and nurseries.

    Responsibilities include:

    • ENSURE THE HIGHEST LEVELS OF CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. Which comes from accepting customer service feedback and providing solutions to current and future problems.

    • Increase teams effectiveness by orienting, training, coaching, & counseling; communicating values, strategies, and objectives; assigning accountabilities; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.

    • Ensure all selected orders are successfully processed in an efficient manner with an emphasis on quality and secure packaging.

    • Ensure that the team is properly trained to successfully execute the orders in an efficient manner as per the company's SLA and SOP.

    • Download and print pick slips and organize them for processing by the selection and packaging crew.

    • Prepare care cards, shipping labels, and any messages associated with an order.

    • Conduct weekly physical inventories of raw materials, care cards, and brokered product.

    • Maintain inventory levels necessary to fulfill orders and restock as needed - following the brokered product's inventory process and purchasing procedures.

    • Monitor daily order fulfillment production to ensure the orders are completed on-time. If additional labor resources are needed, know when to allocate resources in coordination with the Production Supervisor.

    • Ensure that all packages ready to ship are picked up by the appropriate carrier(s) at the end of each day.

    • Offer assistance to and interact with the Customer Service Manager.

    • Assist in developing the current site as a 'model fulfillment center,' which will be used as a template for future regional facilities.

    • Control expenses to meet budget guidelines.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Five years of experience in management or operations.

    • Fluent or able to communicate in both Spanish and English is preferred.

    • Must be comfortable using a computer. E-Commerce experiense is preferred.

    • Experience with Shopify is strongly preferred.

    • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics.

    • Willingness to travel.

    • Performance management and standard assessment.

    • Continual process improvement and quality management.

    • Strong communication and organizational skills.

    • Must be able to work well within a team environment.

    • Must be able to work in a high paced environment.

    • Must be flexible with work week and time.

    • Possess problem-solving skills for continuous improvement.

    • Excellent plant knowledge (involving foliage plants, patio, ornamentals, perennials, and flowers) is preferred.
