WHERE YOU FIT IN:
- You will work alongside and report to the Head of Sales & Operations (Kathryn Fortunato). You are comfortable being largely self-managed on a day-to-day basis
- You manage and mentor a seasonal wholesale intern
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Represent the Lizzie Fortunato brand to wholesale customers (in person, via email / Zoom, etc.) in a professional manner with deep knowledge of the LF product assortment and brand language as well as the broader market
- Conduct market week appointments to meet buyers and present / sell new wholesale collection (in person and virtually) for minimum of 3 major collections / year
- Execute efficient and timely meeting follow-ups and collect and enter seasonal wholesale orders in JOOR and internal database with extreme attention to detail
- Delegate these and related tasks (checking orders, sending OCs, and updating all WS records) to a seasonal intern
- Communicate with accounts to confirm all order details and vendor compliance items
- Track wholesale budgets (and year-on-year purchasing) to analyze accounts orders; communicate with accounts if orders need to be edited
- Identify and pitch new accounts to achieve wholesale distribution in new, untapped markets (including international)
- Manage detailed wholesale order tracking to ensure all seasonal orders are shipped on time and are compliant with wholesalers requirements
- Load all orders to ship via internal database
- Communicate internally with production and warehouse teams to ensure the timely delivery of all seasonal wholesale orders
- Understand and coordinate with warehouse to implement all account-specific packaging, ticketing, and shipping requirements
- Transmit all relevant shipping and billing information to accounts at time of shipment (including via Electronic Data Interchange - EDI)
- Monitor retailer websites regularly and complete or delegate all related responsibilities: Fill copy sheets and provide high-res images/fill sample requests as needed, ensure new collections are being uploaded in a timely manner, all copy information is correct, and imagery is up to company standards
- Research, analyze and share with LF design team information around brand adjacencies, trends, design opportunities, and merchandising insight
- Communicate with wholesale accounts to request sell-through reports, propose re-orders and/or swaps Update weekly selling reports and analyze STs for reorder and swap opportunities
- Work creatively with accounts to promote selling and increase business
- Schedule and attend in-person or virtual store visits to seek direct feedback and build relationships with sales associates
- Create and maintain budget projection sheet to track wholesale goals
- Create seasonal merchandising plans to present to LF design team
- Research and share industry / design trend data to inform merchandising decisions around price point and aesthetic direction
- Think strategically about the wholesale business in order to identify new opportunities for growth and alternative revenue streams
- Meet regularly with production team to better understand production process, jewelry insights, and key quality and selling insights
REQUIREMENTS
- 3+ years of wholesale experience
- Merchandising experience a plus
- High fluency in excel with expertise manipulating and analyzing data
- Ability to pull and analyze sell-through reports, make style level pivot tables, etc.
- Strong communication and selling skills to build bonds with wholesale accounts
- Confidence making and defending financial decisions
- Desire and drive to constantly improve, trouble-shoot, and innovate existing systems
- High level of fluency in: G-Suite and/or Microsoft office; Joor; EDI compliance; GS1
- Proficiency with ERP systems (including Filemaker) is a plus
- Proficiency with the following apps is a plus: ShipStation, SkuVault, FedEx, and more
- Strong collaboration and influence skills; ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders across organizational levels
- Ability, discipline, and confidence to work autonomously, efficiently, and accurately
- Strong prioritization skills and ability to multi-task (and delegate) in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication, presentation, and time management skills
- Passion for Lizzie Fortunato brand and small / start-up setting where self-motivation, hustle, problem-solving abilities, confidence, and a go-getter / positive attitude are critical
