Routing/Switch Network Consulting Engineer

Long Term Contract, San Francisco

Major vendor has immediate need for a Network Consulting Engineer that delivers the technologies, solutions and services customers need to expertly manage their networks. In this role, you will be "the company’s face to the customer" working in a fast-paced, high-impact environment as a visible contributor delivering on our commitments. The key areas of focus on this role will be Routing & Switching, Data Center and MPLS.  You will undertake support as designated engineer for large-scale networks.  You must possess strong technical account leadership skills and have large-scale network design skills.  

Responsibilities:

• Experience with large scale MPLS deployments and designs
• Extensive level 2 experience in large scale deployments.  Migration of Level 2 functions from 6506-VSS pair. 
• Generates network configurations from Low Level Design for highly complex networks.
• Plans  and executes highly complex Network Upgrade and Network Migration activity.
• Troubleshoots  and resolves highly complex customer network problems across a broad range of technologies.
• Acts as a focal point for highly complex network problem resolution.
