Plant Utility Operator – Quarry

Henry, TN

We are hiring a Plant Utility Operator to support daily operations, equipment handling, and plant maintenance in a quarry environment.

Responsibilities:

• Operate equipment (loaders, dozers, skid steer, haul trucks)
• Support production, material handling, and cleanup
• Inspect and clean trucks and railcars
• Perform equipment checks and basic maintenance
• Troubleshoot issues and assist across plant operations
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment

Backup

• To back up other Utility Operators.
• To back up Plant Operators
• To be backed up by other Utility Operators
• To be backed up by Plant Operators, Plant Superintendent, and Plant Manager.

Requirements:

• Industrial or heavy equipment experience preferred
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work shifts, overtime, weekends, and on-call
• Team-oriented with strong work ethic

Physical Requirements:

• Lift 50+ lbs
• Work at heights, confined spaces, and outdoor conditions
• Comfortable in dusty, noisy environments

Preferred:

• Mining, manufacturing, or heavy industrial experience
