The Loan Administrator provides entry-level administrative and operational support for consumer, commercial, and real estate loans. Working under the direction of Loan Administration management and experienced team members, this position assists with preparing loan documents, processing transactions, maintaining accurate loan records, tracking required documentation, and responding to routine customer and internal requests. The role is expected to follow established procedures, escalate exceptions or questions, and complete all required training, including Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering training appropriate to the position.
Job Functions:
- Assist with preparing new-loan, renewal, modification, and other routine loan documents using approved documentation systems and established checklists.
- Review documents for completeness and accuracy under supervision; promptly refer discrepancies, exceptions, and unfamiliar matters to an experienced administrator or manager.
- Process routine loan payments, advances, maintenance requests, and related forms in accordance with approved procedures and assigned authority.
- Prepare lien releases and deed releases for paid loans, subject to required review and approval.
- Order credit reports, appraisals, comparative market analyses, title commitments, and other third-party services as directed.
- Scan, index, file, and maintain loan documentation so electronic and physical files are complete, accurate, and readily accessible.
- Maintain loan checklists and assist with tracking ticklers, financial information, insurance, collateral documents, audit items, and other exceptions; follow up as assigned.
- Prepare and distribute routine billing notices and other approved borrower correspondence.
- Assist with construction draw and advance documentation and processing; do not initiate or approve wires outside assigned authority and required controls.
- Assist with participation-loan payment processing and remittance information under established procedures.
- Support subledger balancing, government-guaranteed loan reviews, investor/servicer reporting, audit requests, and examination requests by gathering information and completing assigned tasks.
- Respond courteously to routine customer and employee inquiries, research basic issues, and route complex questions to the appropriate team member.
- Protect confidential customer and Bank information and comply with all applicable policies, procedures, laws, and regulations.
- Complete assigned training and remain current on procedures and systems used in Loan Administration.
- Provide notary services to internal and external customers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Must complete all required training, including the Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-money Laundering training, suitable to their position within the bank.
Education/Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant coursework or an associate degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related field is a plus.
- Entry-level position. Prior banking, lending, bookkeeping, administrative, document-processing, or customer-service experience is preferred but not required.
- Notary preferred or ability to obtain.

Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
Work Arrangement:
- This position is onsite in Osage Beach, MO
- May require working Saturdays or extended hours depending on branch needs.
